SEGA and Paramount haven’t had the best of luck of keeping things under wraps for Sonic Movie 3 and the Knuckles TV show. Firstly, they had a number of animated storyboards find their way online, and secondly, it appears as though some of Knuckles will take place in Reno, Nevada. Now it has emerged that the voice behind the controversial Shadow the Hedgehog in the third Sonic movie will be none other than Hayden Christensen. Both Sonic Movie 3 and Knuckles will be making their debuts later this year.

Why does that work so well
He seems like a good choice, but in my opinion, I prefer Robert Pattinson as Dark Project Shadow. I also think Amy Rose should get added too and gets played by Anna Kendrick. I also think Sonic 3 should get a 2hrs 30Mins run-time, and at least get a PG-13 due to Shadow’s dark side. I wish Jim Carrey could come back soon.

He’s basically discount Crispin Freeman or is Crispin Freeman discount Hayden Christensen? Either way, the VA for Itachi Uchiha would have also worked but I’m happy with this if it’s true.

I think he will fit perfect as the voice of Shadow in Sonic 3. Plus, he plays good as Anakin.
Hopefully he’s a better voice actor than he is regular actor. His performance in the Star Wars prequels was absolutely awful, a plank of wood could’ve played the role better than he did.
He’s pretty good in the Ahsoka show. And has a deeper voice there.
Some people just don’t hit their stride til their later years. I’m for it.
If they are going to put a big name into the role like they have with Sonic and Knuckles (although I’d like to think Colleen O’Shaugnessey as Tails should’ve been proof that the games’ VAs could do movie performances just fine), Hayden I think would work. Keanu Reeves would be my first vote though if it had to be an A-list actor.

Hayden had some buzz for Life As A House and Shattered Glass back in the day. His Star Wars prequel performances were particularly awkward and wooden because that’s what George Lucas wanted: a sort of 1950s style or whatever.
He seems more comfortable in Kenobi and Ahsoka, and it’s believed he’s back on the books proper at his old agency so it’s possible.
