Four Van Gogh Museum employees suspended over Pokemon exhibit

the official pokemon logo

To say that the Pokemon exhibit at the Van Gogh Museum last year was chaos is putting it rather mildly. Today comes news that at least four of the staff at the museum have been suspended. We now know that one of them embezzled a box of Pokemon cards and has been suspended. The others informed visitors of when they could purchase tickets to the highly sought after exhibition, which was a big no-no. One of those involved had previously worked for the museum for 25 years. The event had lots of rare artwork and merchandise for sale which was snapped up in chaotic scenes and was then sold for massively inflated prices on eBay.

  1. “How did you get suspended from the Van Gogh museum?”

    “I stole Pokemon cards.”

    “From children visiting the museum?”

“No, the Van Gogh museum sold Pokemon cards and Pokemon merchandise now.”
