Celeste developers “cooking up something small but cool” for 6th Anniversary

The excellent indie game Celeste is currently celebrating its 6th anniversary this year, which seems hard to believe. The developer’s behind the game are not resting on their laurels though, as they say that they are currently in the process of cooking up “something small but COOL” to commemorate the event. They say that they need some additional time for the content to make sure it is perfectly ready. Whatever it turns out to be, we will be sure to let you know.

  1. Celeste is an ok game. It gets way more recognition than it deserves though. As a livid 2d platform lover I rank it as a 6.
It will be interesting to see what they come up with though.

    1. Hard disagree. Celeste is one of those rare games that has a good mechanic and, in my opinion, satisfyingly explores that mechanic throughout its levels.

The bonus is that it also has great music too.

    2. I’m also a big 2d platformer fan, but I must say that when I started getting into Celeste i couldn’t put it down. It is a high quality platformer with a brilliant difficulty curve, I’d give it a 10 for sure

    3. As an avid platform lover I give it a 10. I think it deserves all the love. Tight controls and mechanics that are fully explored through a simple but emotionally resonant story punctuated by beautiful art and soundtrack.
