Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai has taken to X to say that his work on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now finally done as the amiibo of the final fighter, Sora from the beloved Kingdom Hearts, is complete. Sakurai gave fans a better look at the Sora amiibo and its packaging on the social media platform. The Sora amiibo launches today worldwide, though it’s likely to be hard to get hold off.

I feel like we should be more worried for your wallet considering the price of those amiibo for each of those fighters including the dlc ones lol.

Smash Ultimate is an extension of the Wii U and 3DS versions. Just as Smash Ultimate Deluxe or whatever ever it’ll be called will be an extension of this one.
SCamiibo are a farce. They need to be dropped, as most retailers stopped selling them years ago. The only real places selling them anymore are Nintendo’s own stores and Amazon.
What’s also farcical is the length of time it took for SCamiibo to release. Sora was the final Smash character announced in October 2021. Over 2 years later the SCamiibo is only now being released. What an absolute joke! Samurai is using a pristine model in his photo. Often they don’t look this good.

Nah man, i’ve never bought an amiibo before so i dunno if they’re all like this but this thing looks terrible. Zoom in on the face a little bit there. That looks like something you’d see being sold on a street market in China. Also this is really more than 2 YEARS after Sora became playable in the game? Wtf is that
I am going to agree with you, why you have to buy an amiibo and the character separately, how much does it cost to nintendo to at least give away an one time use download code with a SSB amiibo?

Wrong! Nintendo IS forcing people to pay for SCamiibo implementation in the Switch console, which the vast majority of people don’t care about. As they did with Wii U previously. And if this scam is incorporated again for Switch 2, people will have to pay AGAIN. They should go back to the peripheral route like they did with 3DS and the few fools that care about SCamiibo can buy it.
