A judge has now signed the settlement terms between Nintendo and Yuzu

A judge has now signed off the settlement terms between Nintendo and Yuzu which will see Yuzu pay Nintendo $2.4 million in damages. That is not all, as Yuzu will need all to cease all development and distribution of the source code for their successful Nintendo Switch emulator. Yuzu will also need to hand their website to Nintendo. Yuzu is open source so it is not clear if a successor will take its place.

    1. depends on if they uses protection circumvention like Yuzu does or not. If another tool is required to circumvent, that they do not link to or even mention or if it uses a method that does not circumvent the protections then they probably will be fine.

        1. The problem was Yuzu locked EA (early access) behind a paywall which is how they profit and Nintendo probably saw that they are making money from emulation on top of all the other things they said they did. Ryujinx hasn’t done anything similar to Yuzu and are laying low or hopefully laying low until the 5 stars wanted level goes away.
