A Nintendo spokesperson has told Eurogamer to wait for Princess Peach: Showtime‘s credits to find out which developer was behind the charming game. We reported yesterday that the game had been datamined and that the developer is seemingly Yoshi’s Crafted World developer, Feel Good. Nintendo has yet to confirm this and remains secretive about it until the game launches on 22nd March.
“The development team will be credited in the game credits,” a Nintendo spokesperson simply told me today when I enquired which developer had made the game.

Afterall, you have to mention/credit the people involved in making your game eventually. Even Mario’s current VA can’t remain an elusive secret (unless you’re using AI, or an Ouija board for dead VAs).

All about this game. Demo was great and the animation is INCREDIBLY smooth. It makes me excited to see what their next gen console will be able to do. Likely they want to talk about the game first and sell it on its own merits before the public can pick and compare based on the studios past work. It’s likely a different kind of game for that team and given the apparent quality from the demo, I think it will stand on its own merits and lift whatever studio produced it simultaneously.
As long Sweet Baby Inc or any similar company isn’t credited, it doesn’t matter to me. I played the demo it was fun. I pre ordered the game.

Being tightlipped about what Developer worked on your game is a terrible idea, especially with everything going on with a certain type of group bent on infiltrating other companies, including Japanese companies, as they force their ideologies into other developers games and are now being called out for it.
When I read this article I was afraid they were gonna hint at Sweet Baby inc (who ruined every game they touched) or Black Girl Gamers (a group similar to SBI who were responsible for Forspoken’s terrible writing and characters which ultimately got that studio shutdown permanently).
So glad I read the comments to learn that isn’t the case.
