Rumor: Sonic Heroes remake releasing on Switch successor

Rumors relating to the next Nintendo hardware have been flying for months now, and they have only gotten more and more frequent as the year has progressed. Not only have there been rumors about the console itself, but there have also been rumors about video games that will be releasing on it.

For example, a rumor has popped up earlier today about a remake of Sonic Heroes, which originally released in 2003. Multiple sources, including Universo Nintendo and prominent Atlus and SEGA leaker MbKKssTBhz5, are saying that the remake is a thing. In fact, it will be running on Unreal Engine 5 and releasing on the next Nintendo console.

  1. Huh. Interesting.

This is one of the few games without modern PC support, so I guess it’s a welcome rerelease. I already own it on GameCube and was planning on playing it again with an HD texture pack on Dolphin- unless they add a good bit of new features I dunno if I’ll pick this up.

Still good for newcomers though; great game

      1. Yeah, same, but at the same time I already like SA1 and SA2 the way they are, plus they have Steam releases. It would be nice if they got ported to the Switch though

        1. The current Steam versions of the Sonic Adventure games are abysmal, with a series of glitches passed down from port to port. They could do with a proper remaster, based on the Dreamcast originals.

    1. That said, I’m gonna be skeptical and keeping expectations as low as possible since this is just a rumor for now.

    2. Strange choice for remake imo. Why not remake sonic adventure as opposed to this, heroes was pretty meh compared to those. I guess frontiers is supposed to fill in the adventure gap.

  2. These rumors man… we literally know a whole lineup for this console but we know absolutely nothing about the device itself, we know that it’s a switch successor and that’s it, no special feature, no specs nothing.
