Nintendo ending Twitter/X support on Switch on June 10th

It has been a gradual process, but the big three hardware makers have been removing support for X, formerly Twitter, on their consoles. While this hasn’t completely removed the ability to post videos and screenshots captured on consoles to Twitter/X, the process is a bit longer and more inconvenient.

Microsoft and Sony have already done this, which had left Nintendo as the only one that still had Twitter/X integration on their video gaming console. However, that is about to change. Nintendo has confirmed tonight that, as of June 10th, they will also be removing Twitter/X integration on their console. You can see Nintendo’s announcement tweet down below.

  1. To be fair, the site has been getting run into the ground for a long time, I could see why they’d jump ship lol

      1. massive amounts of bot activity, advertizing and NuDeSinBiO dont really gel with the Nintendo ethos

          1. Of course he made everything worse later on because he bought the company by changing the name and didn’t let people to have exactly what they expected. Some people started to leave Twitter because of him.

    1. Nazi website? Wasn’t it a nazi website with the democrats using the FBI and other agencies to suppress and censor the truth that goes against their narrative and agenda? Cuz that was definitely nazi

      1. They don’t remember all of that stuff and will ignore the truth. It just sucks how many bots and “p*rn is in the every comment section but X is honestly better than before. No more being censored for stating truthful statements with HD video evidence (and they will still defend these crooks)

  2. Honestly who the fuck was using that feature, the only time I did was a drunk friend of mine who posted a shitty smash screenshot of sonic with a “I sux cox” text on my Facebook private page

    1. I used it for a bit so I could have some of my Switch pictures on my phone, but I obviously stopped after the Switch update that added the feature to directly download your pictures to your phone

  3. Good riddance. Xitter was on the skids before the man-child bought it, and its fall has only accelerated. But yeah, this is most likely about the API fees they’re trying to charge now in a desperate attempt to stop hemorrhaging cash.

  4. Nintendo are a joke. 🤣 Remember, this is the same miserable company that killed Miiverse. Miiverse was great. The same miserable company that now charges for online play, when previously it was free. The same miserable company that killed Virtual Console, and went with a monumentally inferior rental scheme.
