You may recall that, during Nintendo‘s financial results briefing, they had confirmed that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has sold 61,970,000 copies so far, making the #1 best-selling game on the Nintendo Switch. However, it turns out that this isn’t the only major accomplishment that the game managed to achieve.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has not only become the best-selling Switch game, but it has officially become the best-selling game that Nintendo has ever released. The only game that sold more than this is technically Wii Sports, but the number is considered a bit of a technicality as it was bundled with the Wii in some regions.
Does it include Wii U sales?
MK8 Deluxe is different from MK8 so I doubt it.
I guess so it’s the longest Mario Kart that went without a sequel. So compared to other Nintendo racing games the sequels releasing afterwards to MK8 isn’t equel

So no, the record doesn’t include Wii U, but if you include Wii U it’s even higher.

I agree with you, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is best Nintendo Switch game period and it’s way better than Zelda games, even though there is a track that has Zelda in it , link is a very good racer but Mario will always be the best racer in the game!!!
