Midori is back with a new leak and this time it’s regarding Nintendo’s much loved Splatoon series. The prolific leaker, with a proven track record, says that the next entry in the colourful series, Splatoon 4, is in development and is codenamed Spiral internally at Nintendo. Nintendo has not mentioned a new Splatoon game, but it’s likely to come to the successor to the Switch, which is seemingly due out early next year.

I hope it’s a larger expansion than 3 was. These Splatoon games are starting to feel like annualized COD titles (an exaggeration, I know).
If this is true no more type 1 or 2 crap and give us male and female characters and not cater to the extremists that use the no gender trash
Do you want only white avatars too? I think all players should feel like the game is open enough to accept them. The world isn’t strictly binary and video games are an easy way to let everyone feel like they belong in the world.

Nintendo. Please please PLEEEEEEASE make it with dedicated servers. For one it will make it truly a competitive game, solve the issues of the mix of server-side matchmaking and ad-hoc gameplay hoping the host isn’t on dial-up internet, and allow preservation through modding and private servers like they did with Mario Kart Wii.

Ain’t no way there are going to push more resources to splatton 4 right now, 3 is only two years old I think and I personally haven’t seen much differences or variants from one release or another, and it could be a good show for the hardware but more then likely isnt the best thing they could do. Think about games series they haven’t released yet, and they use that to push units, like prime 4, or a new donkey kong, something as a bigger name would push more units
well I mean 1 came at 2016, 2 at 2018 or something, 3 at 2022. so 4 should come now or 2025. and I also think that a kirby sequel would be nice. or a warioware (move it was a bit… I’m lazy 🥲).
So many people are forgetting that Nintendo already told us on twitter that information for their next console will be public by March 31 next year. Splatoon 2 released during the Switch’s launch year, so it’s not out of question for Splatoon 4 to be in development right now. When Nintendo’s next console releases, it will have more attention on it, and the Switch won’t be the main priority. The next Mario Kart and Smash Bros will be on that console as well, so it’s not out of question for Splatoon 4 to also be on it
