Nintendo directors at this month’s annual shareholder meeting have said that that they are aware of recent leaks which originated from a Google employee who was able to access private videos on the back end of YouTube. To combat leaks they have been working with external companies to diagnose security leaks and they have also started working with employees to educate them on IT system security.
Nintendo aware of recent leaks and has said it has taken steps to prevent them

LMFAO THEY CLIPPED PYORO
Good. I hate leak culture so much. It was fun when I was back in high school, but now that I’m busy I prefer the surprise of new announcements
I totally understand it, me? I don’t know I never minded leaks, they are never 100% confirmed to be legit and they are pretty fun to speculate with friends or on the internet. Especially the smash ones. Always fun discussions and interesting images pop up when the roster is still to be announced.
You said it, man. The leaks were fun back in high school, but now that I’m in college and rather occupied, I need some shock value in my life.
Leaks are honestly super easy to avoid if you just avoid or mute people who cover them, when directs come around I usually stay as far away as possible from YouTube, if you avoid social media you won’t end up being spoiled, that being said I do hate how often leaks end up showing up before something is announced.
Yeah I usually step away from the internet when announcements are close. I think the biggest complaint I have in regards to leakers was whenever there was NO speculation. Like if Pyoro said something then it was basically guaranteed. Same with Midori, though they wound up posting so many different leaks and rumors that haven’t happened yet that it’s fair to say speculation hasn’t been hampered by their input.
Idk. Maybe it’s just me, but like others have said I just don’t have the time anymore to focus on leak culture. You have no idea how hyped I was to see Mario & Luigi: Brotherhood and not having that be a part of any leak or rumor. Such a fun reveal.
Same. Besides popular youtubers and streamers leaking info that has not been released yet which basically get them to have more revenues on their platforms, sub and views. So, I understand most companies like Nintendo has a serious issues with this type of problem. They want other people who hasn’t seen or gotten the game yet early want to experience it themselves without being spoiled. Glad this whole thing came to light and glad Nintendo manage to notice this even so they did before back in 2016.
So that’s how it is than; that YOU have had your fun, and reached the top, and now YOU want to kick the ladder out from under everyone else, because You don’t find it fun anymore. Not like anyone else exists in the entire world; am I right?
No it means I grew up and realized how harmful the practice is to the industry.
Glad to know Nintendo’s actually listening at least, despite Japanese copyright being the absolute worst.
looks both ways
Now that I’ve tempted fate to bring both Kirby Star Allies & the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection into reality, how about that F-Zero GX remaster with all the AX content, Nintendo?
One of the best moments I remember was the E3 they announced Donkey Kong Country Returns for Wii. There were no leaks or rumors and it was the return of a long-absent IP.
I totally prefer that experience to some nobody leaking announcements for no other reason except to get internet clout.
I liked DK but never played any of the SNES games. I had Nintendo Power, and when I saw that a brand new Donkey Kong Country game was coming to the Wii, I was immediately hooked and excited. Now I’ve played all the DK games, and I still have that magazine. That’s the magic of surprise announcements that I miss
Leaks are easy to avoid. So YouTube is a big platform to stay away from leaks honestly.
Leakers are immoral beings for me, some do not hesitate to ask for money in exchange for “information”…
I will not cite an example
They can do everything they want but they can’t shut Liam Robertson.
