Nintendo held its 84th annual shareholders meeting earlier and one of the questions which came up at the event was how Nintendo’s generational handover is going considering that the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto is now 72. Mr. Miyamoto replied by saying that “I consider (Nintendo’s) generational handover to be progressing smoothly. We have developers that are young and brilliant.” He thanked shareholders for asking about his health and said that he is doing very well and that he still continues to be fully involved in Pikmin Bloom’s development. Mr. Miyamoto also said that as all the employees are growing older he wants to ensure that the Kyoto-based company’s generational handover expands to encompass even younger employees.
Miyamoto talks generational handover says “we have young and brilliant developers”

I’d like to have someone who calls me brilliant, instead my parents call me ugly and dumb.
How pathetic you gotta be as a person that you get offended so much by someone on a fucking Nintendo blog, to the point that you create a fake account to mock him just to cope about it? Fucking lol.
You’re not better for defending that troll lol. link2metroid deserves some dedicated trolls to himself with how awful many of his takes were. He is basically dedicated Nintendo hater at this point.
bro i don’t give a fuck, he is allowed to say whatever he wants. it’s not like he is sharing nazi propaganda, dude just hates modern nintendo, yeah he is corny, yeah he may be a bit too pessimistic, but i believe he is free to say whatever he want, going as far as creating a whole fake persona just to bully him is childish as shit im sorry
ok boomer
Mom says you are as pathetic as me.
ok boomer
72… man, I do hope my man lives for another 30 years, I’m going to be crushed when the man who shaped my childhood will pass away…
Gotta respect the man that created three of the most iconic game franchises and its characters (Donkey Kong, Super Mario, and Legend of Zelda). He might not have a perfect track record, but hopefully anyone under his tutelage can be just as good a developer and designer as him.
after all these years in the gaming industry it’s impossible to have a clean track record, pikmin bloom is boring as shit for example lol. no matter some failures here and there, miyamoto is still the most important man in the gaming industry, a genius creative mind that revolutionized gaming for the better for many many years, without him i don’t think i would love nintendo as much as i do now
Never played Pikmin Bloom, but I generally don’t play mobile games.
No, I typically refer to his blunders regarding Star Fox Zero- I’ll never understand his fixation on its forced motion controls and dual-perspective gameplay that, to me, was more of a hindrance than anything else. Ended up nearly ruining the experience for me.
