Ratings don’t always give clues on what a video game’s content will have. Sometimes, a rating can appear for a video game that hasn’t even been announced yet. Other times, the game may have been released on one platform, but the rating appears for a platform that hasn’t been confirmed for the game yet.
This is no exception. An ESRB rating for House of the Dead 2 Remake has recently appeared for Nintendo Switch. You may recall that a PEGI rating appeared for the same game on the same platform earlier this month. The ESRB rating is “Mature 17+”, and mentions that the game will have blood, gore and violence.
The absolute state of the gaming industry. Just look at this site for example and the stories, every second game, if not more is a remake, remaster or port.

It just goes on and on, and on. Look at Nintendo’s 1st party releases this year and upcoming, it’s riddled with old games re-released.
Is that a bad thing? Video games are considered art. What’s so bad about preserving art and enhancing it so it can remain relevant?
Really? I’ve never seen the Mona Lisa HD/Remastered.
Nintendo and other publishers often don’t credit the original artists(creators and developers). Just one recent example.

Resident evil 4 is not timeless as the Mona Lisa, don’t get me wrong, one of the best game ever made, but unlike a painting it has technical limitations that can be improved and refreshed, I understand that the videogame industry doesn’t look that bright rn but if done right they can be totally worth your money, you can’t go back to the original wind waker once you tried the Wii U version
