One franchise that has had a resurgence in recent years is Crash Bandicoot. After the first 3 games were remastered, the game has seen a main series sequel, as well as a remaster of Crash Team Racing and a new party game called Crash Team Rumble. Out of those games, only Crash Team Rumble wasn’t released on the Nintendo Switch. So, it isn’t surprising that there have been questions in regards to whether a Crash Bandicoot 5 is going to be coming soon.

Unfortunately, it seems that it won’t. Nicholas Kole, who is a character designer and illustrator that worked on Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, revealed on social media that “some day folks will hear about the Crash 5 that never was and it’s gonna break hearts”. You can see his social media post about the matter down below.

  1. Besides the obvious fail of Team Rumble, people still don’t get how TFB screwed up so badly in IAT. Crash game where Crash is irrelevant up until the very end, the ridiculous completionist requirements, how padded and bloated it was.

  2. Also, I can see why Activision (and even less so Microsoft) is going to care about Crash when the series is small CASH(BA-DUM-TSS) compared to CoD and all the stuff that really generates revenue.o Someone else should take over the IP.
