SEGA has announced during today’s Partner Direct that the first game in the acclaimed Yakuza franchise is coming to the Nintendo Switch family of systems this October. Yakuzai Kiwami has a firm release date and is scheduled to arrive on 24th October. Hopefully this means that the rest of the series will eventually make its way to the platform, or its successor.

I wonder why they didn’t port 0 instead though.
Gameplay mechanics is my guess. I feel 0 has a lot more going for it, with 2 main characters. The game is building up to a lot of the events in Kiwami, but I think 1 is a better place to start.
