Analyst David Gibson expects September reveal and March release for Switch 2

Nintendo switch (oled model)

Video game analyst David Gibson is of the firm opinion that the successor to the Nintendo Switch will be unveiled this month and will be released in March 2025. Gibson even went as far as to say the date that he believes that the reveal will happen which is between the 18th-26th of September, or failing that in early October. This was in response to the post earlier today on X by GamesIndustry journalist Christopher Dring who said that he had heard industry whispers around something Switch 2-related happening this month.

    1. We’ve posted about his analysis in the past during the Wii U and Switch years. For whatever reason WP won’t let me embed the posts. I’ll try again later!

  1. The one analyst with a good track record will say ”erm… i think they will announce mario pissing 2 today” and then all those fake ass analysts just start to open their mouths and be like ”YES YES IT WILL HAVE MULTIPLAYER MODE TOO AND IT WILL HAVE THE HD RUMBLE JOYCON FEATURE FOR BETTER IMMERSION”

  2. It doesn’t make sense to cannibalize your holiday like that. They are pushing news lots of upcoming switch games to push what old hardware they can. Because announcing a new system now for march would lead to those who don’t have a switch to wait until March. They will wait until Jan or February to announce a release in Q1 end of March, April to June. If you want to finish with a strong holiday. Special bundles for the holidays…cut prices. Not announce a new device.

    1. I can assure you, most people are not aware a new console is coming, even if it’s releasing in 1 month. They simple just don’t read news about topics like that. 🤷‍♂️
