Warner Bros. had a very busy year in 2023, and it was also very successful. A major reason for that is because of Hogwarts Legacy, which released that year on multiple platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, and ultimately sold more than 12,000,000 copies. So, it isn’t all that surprising that Warner Bros. is wanting to keep the momentum going with more Harry Potter and Hogwarts Legacy content.
In fact, Variety is reporting that a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy is currently in development at Warner Bros. The game is apparently a “very big priority”, and the game’s story will play out in similar ways with the Harry Potter HBO series that is currently in the works. Other than that, there wasn’t much information shared on either project.
I hope the sequel has more RPG elements and gameplay mechanics, like they could implement a feature so the players choices during the dialogue affect the outcome. Would be nice if the sequel actually has dlc besides the pre-order bonus, and quidditch.
