Nintendo has been very active with the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack retro libraries, especially in the past year. Although it varies which retro library gets updated with more games, Nintendo’s schedule with new additions has reached a point where it is now guaranteed to see at least one retro game added a month.
Well, tonight is no exception. You see, Nintendo has announced that Tetris will be coming to Nintendo Switch Online‘s Nintendo Entertainment System library on December 12th. If the news sounds a bit familiar, that’s because Nintendo confirmed that the NES version of Tetris would be coming to the subscription service in their Partner Direct back in August. The specific release date, however, is new. You can see the official announcement social media post from Nintendo of America down below.
