Tetris NES joins Tetris 99 this weekend

Tetris 99 has been available to play for over 5 years now. Nevertheless, the game continues to receive a lot of support. When there isn’t any updates, the game is receiving themes that fans can get from Maximus Cups. Most of the new themes involve a first-party game that recently released on the Nintendo Switch.

However, this is a rare exception. The 43rd Tetris 99 Maximus has been officially announced, but this one has technically been known since Nintendo’s Partner Direct back in August. Tetris is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, so it will be themed on the NES version of Tetris. The Maximus Cup will be taking place this week, beginning on December 6th.     1. D- i don’t wanna ruin your moment buddy I’m glad you are happy. But can you tell me why you are so excited about this? You said you didn’t even played Nes Tetris why are you so hyped about this?

      1. I’ve had a rough/long past few months, and the idea of just copying up and playing something so tiny and relaxing sounds heavenly to me :)

        Also, it’s super aesthetically appealing, and I’m kind of a Tetris addict sdffgffg

        Also to me seeing it re-released lis like the coolest thing ever to me, I always wanted it to be a Tetris 99 Theme as well

        I’ve gotten i believe just about everything theme since release, too! So I’m very excited to get another for the collection :)
