Rumours about the Nintendo Switch 2 have been heating up lately with a reveal expected some time early next year. Today, a Nintendo Switch 2 case has been leaked via Chinese company Alibaba Group showing a larger case than its predecessor to make up for the system’s larger screen size which is seemingly similar to the PlayStation Portal. A snap shot of a screen protector also leaked from the same source. Nintendo has yet to announce a reveal date for the long-awaited platform.

cause i bring it with me all the time. basically i already have this huge ass case that has space for the switch dock too, and when i go to my friends ghouse we hook it up. so now i will probably need an even bigger case.
I play almost exclusively in handheld and i was hoping it wouldn’t get bigger.. The normal Switch is already too big and i prefer the switch lite.
right? it’s not really THAT portable if you think about it, it’s not that kind of portable that i can whip it out from a pocket like a phone/retro handheld
That’s just it. The Switch was never trying to be a “pocket friendly” handheld, because people ALREADY carry pocket-friendly handhelds in the form of smartphones.
Nobody wants to carry a phone AND another dedicated handheld gaming device in their pockets, hence the more than 50% drop-off in install base from the DS to 3DS. It’s also why far more people bought the 3DS XL models over the regular sized variants. Most people play on a long road trip, in an airplane, or at home, nobody really takes their shit on the go anymore.
It’s also worth noting that while the screen size will increase dramatically, the increase in size from the overall device itself might not be that significant. The OLED model has a larger display than the original model, but the device is largely the same size, because all they really did was get rid of the bezels and fill that space with more screen real estate. I imagine the same thing will happen with the Switch 2.

But in the end, it is clear that all this is false, think about it; Why would a retailer already have an undisclosed machine with the risk that they already put it on sale….?

Much less from a random listing on an online store. The guy could just use the measurements of the other most likely fake Switch 2 that had its CAD showed and was 3d printed and make a screen protector to bring attention to his store.
