Tetris NES & Tetris DX available for Switch Online members

You may recall that, over a week ago, Nintendo had announced that the NES version of Tetris would be arriving on Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack on December 12th. As usual, the date was actually referring to Japan’s time zone, so December 12 in Japan would be late on December 11th or in the middle of the night for western regions, depending on the time zone.

Well, Nintendo has delivered on their promise, but there are a couple of bonus surprises this time. Tetris NES was added to Nintendo Switch Online, as Nintendo confirmed. However, Nintendo has also included a second game. Tetris DX, released on the Game Boy Color in 1998, is also available. The Switch Online release of both games also includes a special message from Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov as Nintendo continues to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Tetris. You can see the special message via Nintendo of America’s social media announcement post down below.
