Mat Piscatella, from the official United States video game sales tracking company Circana, has announced his predictions for this year. Piscatella says that he expects Nintendo’s next hardware device, thought to be called the Nintendo Switch 2, to sell 4.3 million units in the US in 2025. That’s assuming it launches in the first half of the year. Piscatella says that he fully expects the system to be subject to constraints, though he also says that he still expects the PlayStation 5 to be the best-selling console this year in the United States.

Yeah, I can see the Switch 2 not selling as well as its competition this year if it comes out later in the year. But if Nintendo makes a half decent console even half as successful as the Switch, it’ll destroy the PS5 and X-Box series X. Seriously, this generation is the least competitive generation of all time. Not outselling them because it comes out later in the year is the only way it won’t sell better than the other two this year.
I disagree with you to the very fullest. I personally believe that the Nintendo Switch 2 is gonna surpass 4.5 million units worldwide this year once the system is launched globally.
Only if it launches early in the year will that happen. If on the other hand, it gets announced late February and launches let’s say in September to throw a later release for this year, then it might not make those kind of sales this year.
But I do think every year following, the new device will crush its competition. Unless Sony and Microsoft have an unexpected turn around this generation, this is the easiest generation for Nintendo to come out on top. The PS5 and X-Box Series X are literal jokes.

I imagine Nintendo will sell as many Switch 2’s as they can make. Hopefully a few more than this but we’ll see.

No one knows how many Switch 2s will be available in year 1. That’s why they are expectations !!!

bro he is TRIPPING. Switch 2 will probably sell 5+ million in the first quarter of its release (assuming there’s proper stock). There has never been more buzz and hype for a system before.
