There is less than 3 months before the fiscal year ends. Nintendo has already stated that this fiscal year will also be when they will be announcing the successor to the Switch. However, the past month has been plagued with rumors and leaks. Because of this, some people have grown concerned that Nintendo may need to change whatever plans they had for the Switch 2 reveal.
That said, there are others that disagree. One of them is Krysta Yang, a former employee at Nintendo of America. In fact, not only was she a co-host of Nintendo Minute with Kit Ellis, but she was also the marketing lead for the Nintendo Switch. She also commented about the recent Switch 2 leaks and rumors, saying that “Nintendo is going to stick to their plan. They have a date in mind and they are not budging no matter what”. Well multiple corroborating pictures of the console and the dock (and a corroborating video render showing both), in line with previous shipping records and general rumours (yes rumours in this case) of what the console would be definitely feel like they have long graduated into the realm of leak. Of course there’s some off chance that somehow this is all some sort of fake with many different players involved, but I would be shocked if what we’ve seen isn’t real.
Also, who knows what their plans are? It could be tomorrow, it could be the end of March, we don’t know. But what we do know is that we really want the reveal soon xD
With all these leaks and rumours, we’re getting constantly reminded about the Switch 2. Might be a part of their marketing plan, but if everything is a legitimate leak, Nintendo should have in some degree foreseen this and anticipated counter measures, like an early 2025 reveal of the system.
Honestly, I’m thinking early in March for my guess.

Some random thoughts. Maybe the new Nintendo is called something like Magneto or the Nintendo Magnet. I remember Nintendo hinting that the Wii would have wireless controllers, and thinking inside the box we would only think about standard controllers that were wireless. Now there’s a focus on the magnetic joy cons that easily sticks to the console, but maybe there’s more to this magnetic technology related to gameplay? They may also use magnetic technology to reduce drift issues (hall effect).

I mean, did anyone expect the thing officially revealed before Nintendo was “ready”. This probably will be officially announced next month in place of the usual February Direct despite all the information we already have (assumingly).
