This busy day of Switch 2 rumors and leaks isn’t over yet. Despite all the things we’ve seen and heard from CES 2025, there is yet more that we have to share with you. Remember that Nintendo has stated that they will be revealing the console by the end of this fiscal year. That means that there could be as many as 2 and a half months before the console is revealed.
In the meantime, the rumors and leaks continue. Genki, who has made their presence at CES 2025 quite known and have been the ones that have sparked the vast majority of today’s news, now has a website to sign up for news on Switch 2 accessories. More importantly, they’ve released a new video demonstrating their accessories. It includes another potential look at the Switch 2’s dock, including the Switch 2 logo. It’s only a matter of time now before the big reveal by Nintendo. Rumors for Switch 2 are really trending now.
So that’s how the joy cons disconnect from the system, using the top area to push away from the console whilst disconnecting the magnets in the system.
I hope it’ll stand up to the tests in the real world because it does look small that post that sticks out of the top of the rail there.
Also, Nintendo needs to act NOW, because these guys had the balls to even show off the Dock itself and it basically looks like the leaks only with the back cover on
I’m having a hard time if the demonstration video is real because it looks much of a 3D render that they made in a graphic design software that they used. Nintendo know how to deal with leaks and unrevealed content that don’t want any surprises to be ruined.

In fact, I don’t believe in these “rumors” for the simple reason that Nintendo will not let anything leak and all those who know how the presentation of a new product goes, also know that the rules and security of secrecy are strict…
However, it’s easy to imagine that all these people play on people’s gullibility to make them see what they want to see…
But it doesn’t seem to “tilt” for some…
Let me pose a hypothetical: Nintendo announces the Switch 2 officially and all the rumors and leaks are true. What is your reaction to the Switch 2 then?
That Nintendo will have made the same mistake 3 times (which I hope, they won’t do)
That their secret is no longer a secret and that it is totally counterproductive (which indicates to me that they have regressed)
Their story has proven many times that everything that is said/imagined has turned out to be false and those who know their story also know that what is said or hoped for in these rumors does not make sense!
I add to that that even after compiling the “rumors” and talking with people who know much more about it than me, there are things that are really weird like for example his alleged technical sheet

I’m talking about if this is the official Nintendo Switch 2 (and it’s officially confirmed) what are your feelings about the console?
You’re asking me a difficult question because I’m not the type of people to judge on the appearance of a console…
If it brings nothing more than a Switch, it will be of very little interest to me unless of course Nintendo or third-party publishers release games that are worth it because apart from the exceptions Nintendo, all or almost all third-party games are on pc
That’s also why I think it will have fundamental differences with the current Switch, Nintendo has always added one or more features compared to their old consoles to attract their customers but despite all this, they made 2 mistakes with the wii u and the 3DS…
I like to believe that they are not going to release a simple boosted switch with nothing extra or just “gadget” features
In fact, you all believe that this is what will happen but have you seen the number of consoles on the market with the same concept as the switch? How many sell well?
I actually think Nintendo has just upgraded their consoles moreso than adding a new gimmick. Game Boy to GBC to GBA was simply updated hardware. NES to SNES was also. Arguably also N64 but it also had new features with the controller joystick, 4 player local, etc. Gamecube was basically just an upgrade to optical discs.
I think the only time we got some significant new feature was the Wii, Wii U, 3DS, and Switch.
You also need to consider customer (and developer) feedback. What are the grievances of the Switch? Probably the most common listed are the joycon drift, technical limitations, battery life, and the online service. No one is complaining that the Switch doesn’t have enough unique features. I daresay people have already forgotten about HD rumble and complain about it being used more. These are naturally the first things Nintendo would address with a Switch successor.
And you mentioned the Wii U and 3DS being failures. I have to disagree somewhat as their failure was they had bad launches. Fortunately, Nintendo cut the price of the 3DS and injected plenty of first-party software to make it an eventual success. I do believe if the Wii U also got the same injection, it would have been a success. I feel it didn’t because Nintendo underestimated HD development, third party devs jumped ship, and they just didn’t have enough resources to support both 3DS and Wii U software. Lo and behold, they combine the two divisions and we get the Switch so that was also a solution to a problem the Switch solved. Anyways, my point here is that software is what makes a console successful.
I totally agree that it’s the software that makes the machine but as I already announced: playing a game in 4K 60 fps doesn’t interest me at all…
I need something extra that justifies that I buy the game from Nintendo and not on pc which will always be cheaper, that’s why I don’t own Ps-X anymore because they bring absolutely nothing more than the pc I own (which is much better than them)
The Switch has flaws but correcting its flaws only is not enough in my eyes, it is an adjustment not an evolution and I don’t think that relying on the concept of the switch because it has been successful is a good thing… (the Wii is proof of this…)
But I don’t agree with what you say for the sequel: all the consoles you mention are new generation except the GBC or the GBA SP for example but Nintendo, since its portables, has always been used to releasing an evolution of its machines with the switch we had 3 of them, Why a 4th and especially why just an adjustment? for me it wouldn’t be a new generation console…
And I finish with the wii you and the 3DS, for the wii u Nintendo surfed on the success of the wii (which had been in decline for years) and added a useless gadget for me (the gamepad) not to mention the incomprehension of the public and the non-support of third parties… in short, for me, Nintendo was naïve for the wii u which led to its failure, I can’t see them reproducing this mistake under the pretext that the Switch is on the way to overtaking the PS2!
As for the 3Ds, you said early but I add that if it was not a commercial failure, it was for Nintendo, Nintendo has also admitted it half-heartedly: they have released a 2DS… while the sales marketing of 3Ds was to play in 3D…
