Capcom caught up with Monster Hunter Wilds producer Ryozo Tsujimoto to discuss the possibility of the soon to be released game arriving on the recently announced Nintendo Switch 2. Mr. Tsujimoto said that it’s a new announcement and itis something “we would need to take our time in the near future to know exactly the nature of the hardware and how we’ll use it best.”
“Of course, regarding Monster Hunter Wilds platforms we don’t have anything extra to announce beyond what’s already out there,” the Japanese developer tells Gamereactor envoy Javier Escribano in the video. “But we’re also a bit in the same position as everyone else with Switch 2: it’s such a new announcement, and we would need to take our time in the near future to know exactly the nature of the hardware and how we’ll use it best, and that’s something that’s going to be in the future for us.”

I don’t hope this will be a curse for Switch. Have to wait a while to get current-gen third party titles.
They can’t make a game for hardware they are uninformed on, stop fear mongering.
Oh, of course, I forgot they need to buy and pull-apart a Switch 2 to know about the internals…
I think they’re very aware of the specs at this point. Of course, Wilds has been in development for a while, so they most likely haven’t had a chance to look deeply into it from the very beginning; but not including third parties at this point seems very far-fetched to me; especially Capcom. They argued with Nintendo about RE Engine and RAM-requirements before the launch of the Switch.
You can’t be serious with these comments.
Developers get the new systems years before their announced.
Where do you think leaks come from?
A ligitimate source
Maybe porting Monster Hunter Wilds for the Switch 2 is what they have up their sleeve.
This certanly is some comercial efourt with sony, for engage the PS5 sells version
Too late Capcom. You messed up when you decided it wasn’t initially going to be on a Nintendo system. Potentiality of Nintendo collabs aside, I don’t care for Monster hunter anymore. I only bought some of their games so I can play with my Twitch friends. But at least one or two of them out to be jerks. The Monster hunter IP has enough money as it is. Why don’t you focus on one of your other properties like, I don’t know, one who’s last name is “Man”, first name is “Mega”?
ALSO ADD SALLY ACORN IN SMASH DAMNIT!!!!!
A million comic book ocs and you want the furry Pit clone. 🥱
LMAO nobody cares about exclusivity for MH titles, who cares if your Twitch “friends” were jerks. find better friends.
God youre an obnoxious whiner. I love mega Man, but I hope they never make another, just to bother you.
I would be surprised if the Switch 2 COULDN’T handle Monster Hunter Wilds. Everything seems to be pointing towards it being more than capable of handling games of it’s calibur. What makes me so certain that this will get ported is due to the fact that Capcom has stated in the past that other Monster Hunter titles (such as Stories) were previously not planned or slated for Switch release… but then got released later on. If the Switch 2 has anywhere near as long of a lifespan as the original, it would be unwise for Capcom not to create a port.
Drift Boss is a great example of a game that combines addictiveness with simple mechanics, making it fun for both casual players and those who enjoy more challenging gameplay.
