Chrono Trigger has sold over 5 million units worldwide

Square Enix has confirmed today that the classic JRPG Chrono Trigger, which first released in 1995 on the Super Nintendo system, has shifted over five million copies worldwide. The news comes as part of the franchise’s long-awaited 30th anniversary celebrations. Square Enix has previously said that they are exploring new projects within the Chrono Trigger universe, which will be announced later this year.

I would love to see it remastered graphically…. like a HD remake, make it smooth (not pixelated)…nothing against the original, but if it’s gonna be remade for next-gen might as well make it even more beautiful graphically than it already is….. other than that obviously upgrade sound QUALITY but that’d be all in that aspect…. and overall I say leave everything else the way it was story, dialog, animations etc…..

    Would LOVE to see it on XBOX Series consoles

  2. Also take into consideration that the Internet was still a rich person’s luxury when this originally came out. And with what little attention it’s received until recently, I’m glad. With better versions coming to modern gaming platforms, (switch, Mobile, various emulators) it’s proving once again why it’s a legendary classic.
