Chrono Trigger is celebrating 30th anniversary, various projects planned

Square Enix has announced that the critically acclaimed JRPG Chrono Trigger is set to get various projects which expand beyond the game world. The news comes as the beloved game celebrates its 30th anniversary today in Japan. These new projects will be announced throughout the next year.

“To mark the 30th anniversary and to express our gratitude to everyone who has played Chrono Trigger so far, we are planning a variety of projects over the next year that will go beyond the world of the game,” reads the post. “Please look forward to the latest information, which will be posted via the Square Enix official X and @ChronoTriggerPR accounts.”

  1. The greatest game of all time! I used to beg my dad to take us to Blockbuster on the way home each Friday to rent this before anyone else could each weekend!

  2. All we need is a way to play it on modern consoles. You don’t need to do much more than that to make us happy.

    1. Because he was and always will be goated. Rest in peace Toriyama. Also, put off watching DAIMA because I wanted to watch the eng dub but ended up binge watching the rest. Now I can’t wait to watch it again in eng.
