MercurySteam appears to confirm it’s behind Metroid Ravenous

One of the nice surprises of the Nintendo Direct presentation yesterday was the unveiling of Metroid Ravenous. Some of you will have known the game was eventually coming as it popped up on the Brazilian Rating’s Board, but nonetheless it looked top-notch. Many will have been wondering if Metroid Dread developer MercurySteam were behind Metroid Ravenous. Eurogamer reached out to both Nintendo and MercurySteam and were ignored, but Mercury Steam did retweet the announcement and shared the trailer on LinkedIn, pretty much confirming their involvement.

  1. Its cool that they are involved with the game development for a new game but I hope they credit the staffs this time for the new installment of the series since the last one were ignored and not listed.

  2. Just as I thought, but I’m pretty sure there was a lot of talk about them going straight into developing a new entry straight after dread.
Dread is an awesome game, not too bothered about the emiis though, see how this pans out with a ravenous samus
