The Brazilian Ratings Board may have leaked a new Metroid title which is titled Metroid: Ravenous. What’s also interesting is that the listing has since been removed from the site adding more fuel to the fire. The now deleted listing revealed that Metroid: Ravenous has 2026 down as the year of production. It is not clear who is behind the game, but it could well be the team at Retro Studios.

What is that subtitle? Ravenous? In other words, LETS GO!!!

Considering it’s a mainline title, judging by the naming, it’s most likely MercurySteam again.
Probably despite them laying off it’s employees and never credit them behind the last Metroid game.
It’s already known that they’re working on a new project and it lines up nicely.
I forgot about MercurySteam, they did a fabulous job on Dread.
Yeah, Dread was amazing. One of the best Switch games, hands down.
Well then. This is odd.
Not that odd. Probably Beyond went below expectations and, since a side-scroller Metroid is easier to develop, they decided to do so. Also they need another game for the holiday season since, after Fortune’s Weave in September, they only have the OoT remake.
Having something for October-November would be very good.
It’s a Federation Force sequel staring Myles MacKenzie.
And it will be incredible.
The game will also be a code in a box, and you WILL enjoy it. $80.

Reminder that Samus is part-Metroid now.
I think she is considered a full-fledged Metroid, no? Raven Beak outright says that she’s a Metroid.
Yeah she’s the last Metroid. I imagine the next game opens like,
“The last Metroid is free, and the galaxy is at peace.” It then shows a picture of Samus in her Varia suit standing dramatically beside Samus in her Metroid suit.
Still not the fusion remake. But excited anyway
