The Legend of Zelda producer, Eiji Aonuma, is now the second Nintendo employee to receive France’s Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letter, awarded by the French Ministry of Culture for individuals who have made outstanding achievements in the fields of art, media and literature. Mr. Aonuma follows in Shigeru Miyamoto‘s footsteps as he received France’s Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letter in 2006. Mr. Aonuma told the audience at the event that he thanks the fans, his colleagues and his wife.
“The fact that I am standing here today is not due to my own efforts alone. It is because of the passion, creativity, and continuous efforts of countless fellow developers that I am here today. I see this award as a tribute to those colleagues.”

Both he and Miyamoto deserve it.
They should be honored by the uk too, but looks like France has beat them to it
Both legends deserved that award. They should be very honored by their achievements.
Very well deserved.
Very fitting for Aonuma to be given this award in the lead-up to the release of the Ocarina of Time remaster.
