The Nintendo Direct presentation yesterday gave us all a good overview of what to expect from the original Nintendo Switch console for the rest of the year. There were numerous highlights including the long-awaited Metroid Prime 4 Beyond and a new Tomodachi Life game. It has now been revealed that the presentation has set a new record across Nintendo channels for the most tuned into broadcast. Expect this to be broken next week when we get a taster of what to expect from the Nintendo Switch 2 on Tuesday.

I find it ironic that one of the worst directs is one of the most watched. Looking forward to Switch 2 direct next week.
Switch is over 8 years old now. No one with a functioning brain would really expect them to show anything significant (new) games on this Direct. 🤷♂️
Indeed but I saw many who were hoping for even a tiny announcement on the new switch knowing that we have 5 days to wait…

I find it even more ironic that you think this is one of the worse do you even remember some of Wii u and 3ds era directs (cough cough amiibo festival, Metroid federation force, Mario tennis ultra smash cough cough cough)
I remember when I use to call it Fedshit Force. Now I realize Fedshit Farce woulda been a far better insult. But some hate Other M & I enjoyed that game, so… 🤷♂️ To each their own if they like that entry.

That’s good news, I tuned in coz I thought they’d show mp4 and they did.
It was a nice direct, almost like a love letter for the switch, which has been one of the most successful consoles ever.
Even though I’m getting the switch 2 straight away Il be playing my current Oled and lite for years to come, I shall keep my nice big fat sd cards in them and have all my games which don’t necessarily need the switch 2 upgrades loaded and ready to go.
Cant wait for next week…… hopefully the mp4 release date, new 3D Mario info, more Mario kart 9, something Zelda and an idea of big third parties. I’m ready for the next round of game collections.
The direct was OK, we can now see that there were no surprises beyond mp4, and PLZA.
So that just means they are moving everything over to switch 2.
If they are really done with the switch, then I look forward to seeing the switch 2 direct, we could still see some of those requested games, like twilight princess and wind waker.

I find it really strange that a worst direct will have the most viewship in Nintendo’s history to gain such a huge milestone.
