CD Projekt Red confirms 64GB is max Nintendo Switch 2 cartridge capacity

One of the surprising announcements during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct presentation is that CD Projekt Red is fully onboard with the system and is bringing the now well-received Cyberpunk 2077 to the platform. Many have been wondering how big the game cartridges are for the Nintendo Switch 2 and it seems as though the maximum storage space available for video games is 64GB, which is the cartridge that Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on. How many other developers opt to use the more expensive cartridges remain to be seen, but Cyberpunk 2077 will be a full priced title.

  1. Anonymous Skywalker

I mean they did use a 32gb cartridge for The Witcher 3 sonit makes sense. Would I buy it? Don’t know since I have the PC version.

  2. I play Cyberpunk on Google before it shutdown it’s online service. And I have waited for it to arrive on switch 2 because I knew it would be coming.

    1. Cyberpunk op switch 2 🤣 it could barely run on the PS4 pro and switch isn’t even more powerful with twenty seconds of load time added. Okay it anywhere but the Nintendo switch to enjoy decent framerates and visuals.

  3. He also had other information from the journalists who had tried it

    1080p in dock mode
    720 in handheld mode

30-40 fps depending on performance or quality mode

Apparently the game has only been in development for 7 weeks, there is apparently no use (yet) of dlss or ray tracing

It’s going to be short to improve it in 2 months!

  4. Respect. Now I get CP77 was a clusterfuck at launch, but credit where credit’s due, this is the full game plus DLC on a cart, they get to charge 70 quid. No complaints from me.

    1. Seems quite easy: Game card, you have the game on a physical card. Gamekey card, you still have a physical card, but have to download the game. I guess Nintendo came up with this as a middle way, for developers to keep costs down and for gamers, who prefer physical media. 🤔

    2. Nintendo didn’t explain it very well and then a lot of YouTubers also didn’t explain it well.

game key card -download game but game license is on the physical card sony need to insert it to play Everytime , allows u to sell the game later which was previously impossible.

physical game card – has the full game inside card.
