Everyone has been waiting for a next generation patch for Rockstar‘s excellent Red Dead Redemption 2 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and a new rumour suggests it is coming along with a Nintendo Switch 2 version. There are currently two sites reporting this from sources apparently close to Rockstar Games. The update and the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Red Dead Redemption 2 is apparently scheduled for later this year. With Grand Theft Auto VI slipping to May 2026, this could be the perfect way for Rockstar to fill the void.

I 100%ed RDR on my Switch years after I had it on PS3, so having RDR2 on Switch 2 might be the perfect motivation for me to finally play it.

I had this on my Xbox but due to not getting much time to sit down and play it I ended up selling it along with my Xbox. It’s very likely I’ll be rebuying it again if this is true – gotta love a portable console :)
Had RDR 2 on PlayStation but it kept crashing during the campaign so i never finished playing.

Well, that’s what happens when you use Nvidia Hardware, you get the better tech and software to go with it.
Switch 2 is basically a portable Xbox Series S with superior Software
Hope is true i dont have time to play at home on a console because i travel a lot i mostly play portable systems.
