  1. So what’s that extra $10 get you from the Switch to the Switch 2 upgrade. Maybe improved graphics, load times and frame rate.

  2. Honestly – that’s fine as long as they don’t bump up the physical to f***ing 80 here in Europe. I’m OK with 70 as a new standard

    1. Whenever you see a dollar price, like you are seeing in this article; you can safely assume that it means “70 dollars before taxes”, since the US never includes taxes in their price information.

“$70” therefore means around “~$75” at the end of the day, in most states (it seems to average is around 7% sales tax). European sales taxe (or VAT, rather) is generally a lot higher though, around 20%–25%, which usually is rounded of to a “convenient number” at €80.

I know it sounds like a lot, since we all remember prices back in 2019 and before; especially since wages haven’t gone up as much as inflation has; but €80 really isn’t that crazy of a number as it seems (especially when taxes are included).

  3. Anonymous Skywalker

$70 seems a bit much but you are getting 2 games in 1 (docked and undocked) and people forget about that. You can think each version as 50/50 or 60/40.

    1. What awful logic, were you born with a dented skull? That’s like saying my steam library doubles if I buy a steamdeck. Im fine with $70 but you’re just defending a billion dollar company for no reason lol.

  4. Yeah, I do not give a monkey’s chuff about the upgrade. The Switch 1 edition will do just fine. Suck my throat, Nintendo.
