Dusk Golem: Full production on Resident Evil 1 Remake is underway at Capcom

Capcom seemingly has a number of Resident Evil remakes underway and one of those is a remake of the first Resident Evil game, which should do away with those fixed camera angles, and will most likely be more similar to the Resident Evil 2 remake. The news comes courtesy of Resident Evil insider Dusk Golem who says that production at Capcom ha already started though he says the game is currently years away from release. So at present it seems Capcom is working on Resident Evil Requiem DLC, Resident Evil Code Veronica Remake for 2027, Resident Evil 5 Remake (?) Resident Evil 0 Remake for 2028, Resident Evil 10 for 2029 and a Resident Evil Remake, which is presumably due out after these are out of the way.

I’m aware that more recently full production on a RE:1 Remake has gone underway (though years out time of writing).

  1. I thought it was weird that they didn’t remake the first game before the other remakes. This will be cool to see. I hope this will be one of those remakes like ff7 where they show many locations from the original in a different perspective (Like on the stairway in the first bombing mission.)

    1. Nah, if your upset about my opinions on stuff, that’s your fault. Upset that I like this idea for a remake or that I like the switch 2 or I don’t like the ps5? Im sorry that you got your left hand pregnant because of your depression, perhaps get a life outside of complaining, maybe get out of your homeless hut and get a job?

  2. Capcom is not letting up! This is how other companies need to release games. Square takes a billion years releasing games and completely change the rules on release.

    1. Eh I disagree. After replaying it currently and playing all the other remakes. This game needs a remake SO badly. While I love tank controls, fixed camera angles and what they offer to the player. A modern, over the shoulder, gameplay style would do wonders for the series.

  3. I do believe RE1 doesn’t need a first person / third person remake. It’s perfectly fine in it’s current form.

  4. Exciting news for fans of the series! A Resident Evil 1 Remake in full production at Capcom sounds amazing and could bring the classic horror experience to a whole new generation.
