Three classic Mario games being added to Switch Online for MAR10 Day

Nintendo has announced that three classic Mario games are being added to the ever expanding Nintendo Switch Online (+ Expansion Pack) service library on 10 March 2026 to celebrate this year’s MAR10 Day. The following games will be included: Mario’s Tennis (Virtual Boy, 1995), Mario Clash (Virtual Boy, 1995), and Mario vs. Donkey Kong (Game Boy Advance, 2004).

These titles can be accessed from the Virtual Boy and Game Boy Advance “Nintendo Classics” apps that can be downloaded via the Nintendo eShop for anyone with an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription.

  1. Wow, if they are going to add Mario Vs Donkey Kong to NSO when we have the remake, could they do this with other games that have remakes like Super Mario RPG?

    1. That’s an amazing point actually, I would be so happy for Super Mario RPG on SNES to get re-released. I definitely think the remake and original are different enough that one doesn’t really replace the other. I’d totally play it again, there

        1. That’s actually what I was always thinking! That would be awesome to see and might make people want to buy the remake because they can see the comparisons between each version. You are one of the best part’s of these comment sections for trying to bring peace into the mix.

    2. I immediately thought about this as soon as I saw that the GBA game was going to be added. Makes me wonder if the OG versions of Mario RPG and Thousand Year Door have a chance at coming to the SNES and GCN services, respectively.

Nintendo’s drip fed service is a scam. You should have access to every past 1st party Nintendo game for the price. Nintendo can do it, they choose not to, they are scamming you all.

    1. Nintendo depends on exclusives to sell hardware, so why on earth would they let you play every game for only 20$ or 50$? This subscription isn’t trying to be another xbox game pass, it’s supposed to be a way to have online for online games and many classic games. The reason why playstation and xbox put their games on their subscription is because not only are they services more expensive (200-300$) but playstation and xbox don’t depend on their exclusives since most people buy their console for multiplatform games. 20$ is a steal when you think about the virtual boy costs for just the classic offer. I have 35 hours on earthbound for the SNES collection for the switch and I think just that game alone should be 20$. The expansion pack is also worth it because 64 and gamecube games can be long. Wind waker is over 50 hours, Fire Emblem Path of Radiance is 30 hours, and that’s just scratching the surface. For what the service offers, I think it’s a much better deal then xbox game pass and playstation plus.

      1. They still need to up the pace tbh. It’s faster than what it used to be, but they also have more consoles on there and the pace they release these games at can feel egregious. Sega Genesis still only has one Phantasy Star game on there, and the collection launched 5 years ago.

    1. hell yeah!!! me and others were CRYING about no mario tennis NOW it’s complete …jack bros, v tetris, and cancelled V-boy games are just a bonus at this point.. literally left my virtual boy in the box because tennis wasn’t out yet lol

      1. (suggestion: this Biblical verse: “Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.” – Ephesians 4:29, New Living Translation version)
