Pokemon Scarlet & Violet updated to Version 4.0.0 (patch notes)

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet has been updated as promised to Version 4.0.0 and it is a major update if you are planning to purchase a Nintendo Switch 2 on Thursday. The update targets the Nintendo Switch 2 with optimised and improved visuals and a higher framerate to make the game silky smooth. You can read the full and brief patch notes down below.

The following updates have been made when playing the game on Nintendo Switch 2:

General

  • Visuals: Optimized for the Nintendo Switch 2 display and high-resolution TVs for improved image quality.
  • Frame rate: Improved for smoother movement on Nintendo Switch 2.

  1. I gotta be honest- it’s unacceptable that you have to play this on Switch 2 just for it to run at a stable framerate instead of GF optimizing it for the console it actually released on.

      1. Then why would they make a game that can’t run on it properly? It’s like people cannot read anymore.

      2. Except BotW and TotK are also on Switch, also have massive maps, and run way better than Scarlet & Violet.

        Tell me again optimizing the Scar/Vi wasn’t possible, especially for games released five years into the console’s lifetime.

        1. On one side there’s more resources, development time, and no other branches to worry about like card games and anime. On the other side there’s more time crunch, shortcuts, and incompetence from a company that refuses to grow in numbers. Tell me which side has the better game
