VGC says the new Castlevania game is still coming

VGC stated a a few month’s ago that a new big budget Castlevania project is currently in development at Konami, However, the company broadcast its large summer presentation today and the game was noticeably absent. One eager fan messaged the article’s author, Andy Robinson, to find out what is happening with the game. Robinson replied that the new Castlevania is “still coming” as far as he knows. Games that were showcased by Konami earlier today include Silent Hill F, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and a tease for a remake of the original Silent Hill game.

The first of these titles will be a new Castlevania game, which sources described as a “reimagining” of the series currently in development internally at Konami in Japan, with support from local external studios.

  1. REIMAGINING? I dont like that word, it gives me Lord of Darkness vibes. I pray it doesn’t become a netflixvania.

  2. Castlevania: The Return of Dracula…
A brand new castlevania game akin back to the advance/ds style of Castlevanias with some modern graphics and improvements and a huge area to explore and uncover with a big ass castle at the end with the count himself.
    Keep dreaming!

  3. I hope in 2D metroidvania castlevania with big map and massive rpg mechanics! No 3D and definitely not that poor platformer without rpg mechanics like on 3ds :(

  4. You dont need a reimagining you need Igrashi back and a remake of Lament Of Innocence! Also Bloody Roar 5. They have ex-Nintendo staff there now make a new Goemon and platformer like Bomberman like Generation and 64.
