US: Nintendo shifted over 1.1 million Switch 2 consoles

More data has arrived today regarding the Nintendo Switch 2 launch in the United States revealing that Nintendo sold over 1.1 million Nintendo Switch 2 units. This figure would be even bigger if sales from the My Nintendo Store were taken into consideration, so we don’t know the full extent of hardware sales in the USA. Nintendo previously said that the Nintendo Switch 2 is the fastest-selling Nintendo hardware in the US market. All eyes will be on how the system fares after its highly successful launch.

  1. It’s just funny because of all the spam post saying “im not gonna purchase the Nintendo Switch 2 because Mario Kart World is $80 blah blah blah lower the price ”
and yet i guarantee of the 1.1 million units sold 90% of Switch 2 owners own Mario Kart World.

I never partook in the boycott because I didn’t want to be a hypocrite. Plus I got one mostly for Pokémon.

      1. You buy shit they make more shit, that is why kiddie game like polermons and call of duty make so much crappy one

    2. I mean, i said that, and I’m still not planning to buy it, I don’t know if everyone who thought like me did the same I’m sure not, but yeah I think there are many people who decided to not buy it after the price reveal. Also it’s not like the switch 2 has many games, I think Mario kart world is the only game that’s new, so yeah not surprising.

        1. Yeah basically. I still love Nintendo, I’m just gonna be less active now, I’ll say some dumb stuff here and there as always

  2. After some deliberation, I’ve decided to buy the console now. First of all, because as someone who mostly prefers replaying the games I already loved compared to getting new ones, I thought it would be better to play them in their best form, so on that regard the console would be really useful to me (also I already use the Expansion Pack of Switch Online a lot, so only need to buy the console without having to spend money on anything else). But most importantly, due to the times we live, I HAVE to buy the console now, because there’s the risk that in one year it might cost even more, both because of Nintendo playing dirty (like Sony already did twice and Microsoft did once), and because of the tariffs. I think it’s better spending 470 euros now than 700 tomorrow right.

As for the games… I’ll try to figure out ways to get them at more human prices eventually.

    1. Assuming you are interested in Mario Kart then now’s the time to get it too for the Mario Kart bundle, because Nintendo have said they are stopping making that bundle sometime in fall meaning that then the price of Mario Kart will essentially go up by like $30 or something.

      1. Not very logical what you say since you find Mario Kart World alone for 80€… why should Nintendo raise its price to 110?!

        1. I think they meant that right now MKW is buyable at 50 euros (In digital) by getting the bundle. But once Nintendo stops releasing the bundle, then there won’t be turnback and you will have to buy in digital at 80 euros or physical at 90 euros with no turnback, not that they will raise the price from 80/90 euros to 110/120 euros. That would be insane for anyone.
