Ori and the Blind Fores developer Moon Studios has been considering the platforms the game should launch on when their Diablo-like No Rest for the Wicked comes out of Early Access on Steam. There was an outcry from fans when the head of Moon Studios said on X that the game may not launch on the Xbox, which was the first platform that Ori launched on, before going multiformat. What’s interesting is Mahler says that he’s eyeing up the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 for the console launch when the game is out of Early Access.
Ori devs latest game No Rest for the Wicked should be coming to Switch 2

So is it confirmed for the switch 2 or not? Because Thomas said “potentially” and he would be the one to know.
It’s not 100% confirmed at present, but the tweet from Thomas says “potentially”
No thanks, Thomas.
Here’s the problem, Ori launched as a multiplatform title initially, it was NEVER exclusive to Xbox so those particular fanboys are incorrect. Secondly, as much as I love the Ori games I simply cannot support anti-consumer early access titles in any way. So long as you keep getting money you can indefinitely claim it’s in “early access” and never have to commit to anything. Nobody should be gullible enough to pay for a demo/broken game. If the devs can’t obtain the funding then they simply shouldn’t make that game and focus on a smaller project, or shop their game around. The Ori titles have a ton of respect behind them and I’m sure if they approached a much better company (Microsoft is the worst in the industry) they would have gotten a greenlight. Look at Nintendo with Bayonetta for instance, we got 3 additional games because of them.
Fleecing your fans because they loved your previous games is not the message you wanted us to have but no real gamer supports anti-consumer early access titles, only the entitled casuals do and they will be long gone by the time the full game comes out and needs their support. You did this to yourself unfortunately.
Thomas is a pro Cheetos d*ck rider, I deleted my Ori games when I discovered that. That, and Ori 2 was poorly optimized on Switch.
Just yesterday, I was trying to download the game’s latest patch while relaxing with some lo-fi jazz, but my connection kept dropping. I got so annoyed that I started looking up Ziply Fiber customer service to see if there was a localized outage. Thankfully, it finally finished downloading. Playing a game this beautiful on a handheld on a next-gen OLED screen would honestly be an absolute dream.
