Former Ubisoft employee says company scrapped a Rayman project in 2021

A former Ubisoft employee has revealed on LinkedIn that he was previously part of a team developing a trial project for Rayman. The game had several titles such as Rayman Forever and The Story of Rayman. Sadly, Ubisoft decided to abandon the project in 2021. It should be noted that Ubisoft is currently working on a new Rayman project.

“In 2021, I had the opportunity to challenge myself at Ubisoft on a trial project for Rayman, but unfortunately, the project did not proceed.”

“As part of the redesign of their flagship game, Rayman, Ubisoft asked us to do some research on the game’s new logo and home screen. Rayman was THE game that launched the studio, so they wanted to do everything they could to make this new edition a success, hence the long research and meticulous progress.”

    1. Not really, a lot of games, and I mean A LOT of games enter the R&D phase, and most never see the day of light. Nintendo themselves have spoken about some games having ideas from games that never left R&D. And some even having ideas from games that are in beta and then get scrapped. It Doesn’t mean anything,
