Sakurai says he’s amazed Kirby Air Riders Direct reached nearly 4 million views

The legend that is Masahiro Sakurai has celebrated on X today as the Kirby’s Air Riders Nintendo Direct presentation has now reached over four million views. Mr. Sakurai says he’s “amazed” and thanks for the fans for sticking with it, given its length. Kirby Air Riders launches on the Nintendo Switch 2 on 20th November. Here’s a rough translation of what he said:

“It’s been just under a week since the Kirby Air Ride Direct broadcast. It’s already reached 4 million views! Personally, I’m just amazed. Especially since it was so long!! Thank you very much!”

  1. I fully expect this game to bomb like the original. I know Kirby has pretty much always been relegated to the easiest of easy, but within the first 15 minutes he was so insulting with the control scheme and how little of an actual ‘game’ this would be, I doubt anyone with a brain would pay $70 for this when they complained MKW and DKB wasn’t worth the price.

Kirby has always appealed to a range of players by being easy to control, and within the first 15 minutes he confirmed that the control scheme would follow suit, and how much of a fun game this would be. I know many people with a brain that would pay $70 for this even though many complained MKW AND DKB wasn’t worth the price.
