Rumour: Nintendo apparently hacked by Crimson Collective

nintendo's company logo

A hacking group claims this evening that it has infiltrated Nintendo’s internal systems. Crimson Collective has published an apparent screenshot of several internal folders as proof. These folders include production assets, developer previews and backups. Crimson Collective has not announced what it plans to do with the information it has obtained. The Red Hat breach saw Crimson Collective acquire 570GB of data. This included authentication credentials for clients which saw Crimson Collective make extortion demands.

  1. It’s fake news. A bunch of people faked it for likes. The fact Nintendo and it’s army of lawyers haven’t even reacted shows it’s fake

    1. Don’t get so mad. This is a very trustworthy news site that is just sharing what other people have said. No bias saying its real or fake, just a nice simple nintendo news site.

  2. I don’t see how this benefits anyone.

And if you’re doing it as like an act of aggression or vigilante justice, there’s so many corrupt corporations you could have gone after instead.
