Nintendo looking to produce 25 million Switch 2’s in the run up to Christmas

Nintendo is looking to ramp up production of its latest Nintendo Switch 2 console and is targeting 25 million consoles in the run up to Christmas and into the new year. Bloomberg says that Nintendo is very likely to comfortably surpass analysts estimates for sales of 17.6 million devices in the fiscal year and is aiming to produce the most amount of units possible to satisfy consumer demand in the busy Christmas shopping period.

  1. My feeling purely from vibes is that the hype has seriously died down around Switch 2 and the lack of a truly killer app is hurting it. But if these sales predictions are even in the ballpark of true, then to be honest, no, the console is doing great, and the endless group of people making video essays about how bad each Switch 2 game is aren’t really representative of anything. Well, they’re representative of people who continue to buy Nintendo products.

  2. Convinced the girlfriend to avoid the legends za bundle and just buy the game on switch 1 and upgrade in the distant future. I’m not seeing 25 mil for Christmas

I bought the SW1 version (with the upgrade path) simply because I don’t like the boxart of the SW2 version and yes I know the SW2 version can be played on SW1 but the issue is how ugly the SW2 boxart is with all that text. Maybe if they put all that in the back with the exception of if it’s game key card or not then I’d be ok with it.
