Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka has talked briefly about how they decide to plan out the releases of Sonic the Hedgehog games. They put their tentative plans on a roadmap of what is planned for release each year and they then work out how much money is needed to be allocated to each project to make them reality. At present the roadmap is focussed on Sonic Racing CrossWorlds.
“First we create a roadmap of Sonic titles and think about which game to release in which year. We then allocate the development resources needed to develop those titles. So this year we’ve strengthened the racing genre, and we’re currently planning what to do next on the roadmap.”
They don’t that’s how they make garbage and just keep doing it. Sonic Racing and bad Sonic games with Ian Flynn writing and Aaron Webber supervision. Bring back Shiro Maekawa, make Sonic Adventure 3 with the Metarex, remake Adventures 1, 2, and Heroes, make a new Sonic Riders, make a new Sonic Battle with CyberConnect2, Platinum Games Shadow 2, a RGG Sonic game. Like its not hard instead we get Sonic Boom and Sonic Prime crap like that.
Sonic Boom is a known masterpiece.

Yup he doesn’t plan just makes trash alongside Aaron Webber and Ian Flynn. Sega took a big L keeping them over keeping Nagoshi hope we actually see his game soon if NetEase wants to close his studio or sell I hope Saudi Arabia buys it let Nagoshi take on Dead Or Alive.
Iizuka, Ian Flynn, and Aaron Webber need to be gone from Sega just fire them. Terminate the IDW deal too move Sonic to Udon if anything, bring Sonic X back or a new anime. RGG has expressed interest in making a Sonic game let them do it I would rather that over the garbage Iizuka makes. Iizuka directed some great Sonic games he can not lead the studio his decisions have been awful and if its not him its Aaron Webber and Ian Flynn the people behind Sonic Boom coming into fruition or the awful Sonic “meta” era that began with Colors story or the weird shipping and bad writing in the IDW comics which have since cratered in sales add on the people there support murdering others for politics. Ian has even admitted to using Sonic to push his radical politics and weird fan fiction look it up guy really hates Sally Acorn and loves SonAmy. Sonic movie 4 doesn’t look great if that flops in 2027 maybe Sega tries to fix the franchise. Frontiers was trash too and they pad the numbers game went on discount less than a week after release. Shadow Generations story retcon was awful too the story was horrible.

What hate comments people are allowed to criticize it because Sonic isn’t what they like now. I loved Sonic when everyone else hated it funny those games sold well but revisionists have to lie claiming the flopped. Those people were catered to despite not buying a Sonic game now and we get the indentity crisis era of Sonic and weird furries also a identity crisis

The whole reason trash like that got made annoying millennials who had nothing to do spent all their time attacking Sonic. They hated Sonic Heroes just because and the shonen anime writing style because that’s how they are you see how lost they are now with current trends and trying to fit in or how they were complete dbags now trying to virtue signal acting like the moral compass and gaslight like crazy especially when their past haunts them but will use it against others. Same with gameplay we had to get wisps to replace Sonic’s friends, 2.5D became the go to because they hate 3D Sonic add in Unleashed selling well, we have to also get Sonic Mario Kart clone because they hated Riders too because it was “too hip” and “too extreme” for the,. Just go back to Shiro Maekawa writing let’s get another Sonic Riders, a Shadow 2 with his gun, Sonic Adventure 3, a Silver game.
I doubt you need a “roadmap” when every Sonic game since the Smith era apparently uses the same cookie cutter.

Yeah no they don’t that’s how. The current Sonic heads need to go Iizuka, Ian Flynn, and Aaron Webber. Sonic is just trash under them. Watch Frontiers 2 will be the same trash. I would take a remake of the “dark era” games over any of their modern trash.
