  1. I hope DK Banaza wins. And if it does the developers need to get right away for the sequel and squeeze it into the Switch 2 life cycle if they start early enough. Otherwise fans will need to fork over $550 on Switch 3 just to play the sequel because they took too long to get started.

  2. Thanks! I voted for Donkey Kong Bananza. I also voted for Kingdom Come II because my scrupulosity wouldn’t let me not pick it, and the Indiana Johnes game because the remaining options were pretentions and/or lame. And yes, I know silksong was on the list. By the time it took for that boring indie spinoff to that boring indie game to come out, we could’ve gotten a new Mega Man title for each main line series. I would have gladly voted for Mario Kart World and Pokemon Legends ZA. What can I say? This has been a good year for Nintendo so far, no matter what those with Nintendo derangement syndrome say.

  3. The only one of these I’ve played was Bananza, and while it’s an incredible game, I’m not sure Nintendo deserves to win anything this year while they’re on their current path. The developers deserve the praise, absolutely, but the business side of the company, not a chance.
