Leaker NateTheHate has commented on an unconfirmed rumour by the generally unreliable leaker Nash Weddle that Grand Theft Auto VI is coming to Nintendo Switch 2. Nate says that he heard a while back that Rockstar Games had attempted to get the ambitious game up and running on the Nintendo Switch 2, but tests don’t always equal a release. NateTheHate therefore issued caution on the rumour.
I said a while ago that R* was doing tests to bring it to Switch 2; but tests don’t always equal release. I know an effort has been made to see if they can bring it to the platform. I don’t know the current state of that effort.
holy sh*t this would be an insane get for Nintendo. And honestly, RockStar absolutely should do it. XBOX is far less relevant/successful than Nintendo, and by all accounts the Switch 2 is roughly on par with a Series S. Just reduce some lighting, particle effects, draw-distance, and maybe drop some texture resolutions and it seems perfectly plausible to me!!
This might be a big chance for the game to come to the Nintendo Switch 2. Rockstar developers needs to polish the game well on the platform.
Honestly would be amazing. I’m not into the series really, but even I know this would do wonders for Switch 2. This game portable at launch would be incredible.
Kinda makes me wonder if they had a breakthrough in development and that was part of why they delayed it (among other reasons ofc)
That recent RDR1 update announcement and RDR2’s leaks proves they do have a Switch 2 devkit. Makes sense they’d at least give it a concerted effort and see what they can do. Would be super cool.
They would have to dumb the graphics down to PS3’s version of GTA V to be successful.

Outlaws is trash. Cyberpunk is a PS4 game, SF6 PS4, and rumor is RE9 will come to PS4 also the Capcom games use RE Engine which is the engine they used for PS4. Snowdrop also a PS4 engine. This would be different optimized for PS5 and could be a mess given reports about Rockstar shake ups and now a walkout.
Cyberpunk doesn’t run on ps4 good at all, outlaws is still a nice looking ps5 game, sf 6 looks better on switch 2 than series s, you suck and the switch 2 is an awesome hybrid that is breaking records. But go on be salty
No one mentioned Series S. Are you just crazy or some weird fanboy. Outlaws is trash cru about that flop I guess. SF6 was on PS4 it can run on Switch 2 unlike GTA6 which will be a PS5 game Switch 2 probably can not handle that.
Outlaws is a game that was canceled because it ran horribly on PS4 and Pro, and while I don’t plan on playing it, it still performs quite well. Of course, you have to vent your Switch 2 hatred somehow. You’ll be suffering for years.

While I’m not a fan of the series itself but I did play GTA 5 twice on PS4. Also, anyone ever hear of Ananta game? The gameplay of the game is much similar then watch dogs and GTA series. Plus it’s a anime game. I’m hoping for it to come to the Switch 2 next year.
Great game. Hope so too also Where Winds Meet and The Hidden Ones. If those games are on mobile they should be on Switch also.

Microsoft needs to buy Take Two Interactive then they could optimize all their games to work on all hardware. Hopefully a remake of all these games can happen GTA 3, SA, VC, 4, and even 5; Manhunt 1 and 2; and Midnight Club 3 Remix all bangers that would look amazing with modern graphics no woke stuff or alterations to story or design just improve graphics and gameplay where needed.
Honestly, I’d be open to it, especially seeing games like Cyberpunk 2077 running amazingly on the Switch 2 and still looking amazing. Though for the meantime, I wouldn’t be against a port of GTA IV and GTA V for the meantime to hold us over for a port in 2028

Honestly I think they should do what Square Enix did with DQ11 and build the game from the ground up for the SW2 and optimize it. Sure it’s not going to look as good as the other versions but if it looks and runs great on SW2 then I’d buy it along with the inevitable PC version.
