Paramount Pictures has stated that they plan to release an unannounced Sonic film set in the Sonic universe in December 2028. This is not the previously announced Sonic the Hedgehog 4 movie, which we already know is in production, and is set to debut in March 2027. Which character, or characters, this new movie is set to feature remains to be seen and there’s plenty of options for SEGA and Paramount to choose from.

No they said Sonic Universe so it’s Sonic 5 or more likely spin off like Shadow movie. And 4 to me does not have me hype and will be divisive Amy is that kind of character, step down from Shadow, and 3 left a mixed response. Personally the useless human characters especially Jim Carrey ruined Sonic 3.

IIRC Shadow was supposed to get a series, not a movie. In hindsight, it’d be the better call to make a Shadow series in order to deal with the Black Arms subplot (since the movie sort of implies Shadow came from the Black Comet).
A spin-off movie could be either Chaotix, something involving Rouge or, maybe, something in another dimension (Blaze).

No I love Silver but problem is they said new project so if its not Sonic 5 they are not making a Silver stand alone movie before he appears in a Sonic film. Honestly this universe will be trash, Silver should have been the setup for Sonic 4 not Amy and Metal making people wait for him to possibly be the Sonic 5 guy is beyond stupid and too long also will be poorly handled. 4 will turn away alot of people after 3 was not great and even worse 4 being Amy and Metal with Jim Carey back is awful.
