Metroid Prime 4 Version 1.1.0 is now available

Nintendo has released a new day one update for the soon to be released Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. The update brings the game to Version 1.1.0 and includes an upgrade path if you purchase the Nintendo Switch edition and decide to get a Nintendo Switch 2 and want to play the superior version. The Kyoto-based company has also adjusted the difficulty of some of the enemies you encounter in the unlockable hard mode.

General:

  • You can now use amiibo on the “amiibo” page in the pause menu.
  • Controller now vibrates during cinematics.
  • [Switch 2] : When you start up Metroid Prime 4 Beyond on Nintendo Switch 2, a “Switch 2 Edition” option will now appear in the menu after the title screen. Selecting this option will take you to the Upgrade Path page on the Nintendo eShop.
  • The rating information for the rating system “ClassInd (Brazil)” has been updated from “12” to “14”.
  • The condition for unlocking some movies in the “Gallery” has been changed from “achieving 100% item recovery rate” to “clearing the game.”
  • In “Hard Mode,” the difficulty of some enemies has been adjusted.
  • Additionally, we have made some adjustments and fixes to improve your gameplay experience.

  1. Look at that, physical copies already useless the day before launch. Digital gaming will always be superior and if it wasn’t, Steam wouldn’t be the platform it has been for decades.

    1. How is digital gaming superior? In this instance when servers go offline you don’t have any part of the game, nevermind the pre patch.

  2. kinda surreal headline. After ~8-years since announcement, it’s finally here. I’m not even a Metroid fan, but this is awesome
