Bethesda has announced that Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition launches today on the Nintendo Switch 2 and if you own the original edition on the Nintendo Switch console then this a free upgrade. The Nintendo Switch 2 edition of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition features enhanced resolution, performance upgrades, and more.
“The Anniversary Edition on Switch 2 includes the base game and the three official expansions (Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and Hearthfire) along with enhanced resolution, performance optimization, Joy-Con 2 mouse support and much more. This edition also comes with exclusive Nintendo content from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and access to hundreds of unique Creations Club items, with quests, weapons and more.
Please note that if you own The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition on Switch, you can download the game for free on Switch 2.”

I’m surprised Todd hasn’t released this on a Smartwatch
Soon on Nintendo Alarmo
Hush, dont give him ideas!
Bit of a shame I don’t have the anniversary edition DLC. It’s necessary to have to get this as the normal base game doesn’t qualify for a Switch 2 upgrade. Oh well, only $20 but dekudeals says it’s dropped to $10 back in October so I’ll probably wait for a holiday sale. Surprised it seems like a separate download like Hogwarts Legacy than a normal upgrade
Be aware that this might have HUGE bugs in it, that could kill your pc.
BE AWARE!!! This is Todd and Bethesda after all.
Skyrim fans on Switch 2 are in for a treat! The Anniversary Edition bringing enhanced resolution, performance improvements, and all three expansions is already a huge win—but the free upgrade for existing Switch owners makes it even better. Bethesda really knows how to reward long-time fans.
The addition of exclusive Nintendo content, including Breath of the Wild-themed items, is a fun twist that gives players a fresh reason to explore Skyrim all over again. With Joy-Con 2 mouse support and hundreds of Creations Club items, the Switch 2 version is shaping up to be the ultimate Skyrim experience on a Nintendo console.
Thanks for the note, Sickr.
